The Peninsula at Goose Pond is one of the beautiful communities located on Goose Pond Island in Scottsboro, Alabama. This area is located in the mountain lakes region of northeast Alabama and is nestled at the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. The Peninsula provides access to the Tennessee River and the scenic Lake Guntersville which has approximately 950 miles of shoreline around 70,000 acres of water. The Peninsula at Goose Pond community has homesites located both along the shoreline and interior homesites with deeded onsite access to two private gated marinas which are for the exclusive use of interior lot owners only. Our lovely community is located close to the following major cities: Huntsville, AL (45 min), Chattanooga, TN (1 hour, 15 min), Birmingham, AL (1 hour, 45 min), Nashville, TN (2 hours, 15 min), and Atlanta, GA (2 hours, 45 min). For golf enthusiasts, we are located near five of the 10 courses on the famed Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
The Peninsula at Goosepond has two associations. The Home Owners Association (HOA) and the Marina Owners Association (MOA). All lot owners are members of the HOA but only interior lot owners are members of the MOA. Both groups at The Peninsula are governed by elected board officers and committee members who are Peninsula lot owners themselves. These dedicated individuals work to protect the covenants and restrictions aimed at keeping the integrity of our community for future homeowners.
